    Most craftsmen and craftswomen wear their tape rulers on their pants pocket. Thus causing the lip of the pocket to rip or "fray". In just a few months, depending on the number of times the tape ruler is put on and off the pocket, the cloth is ruined. You can’t even put the tape ruler on the pocket any more. This happens to all pants pockets. The pants are still in good shape but the pockets are ruined. To solve this problem, a thin flat piece of vinyl which when bent or rolled allows it to be worn over the edge of the pocket and down the outside of the pocket where the tape ruler case rests. The other end, being longer, goes inside the pocket where the clip of the tape ruler grips the pocket.

    It is designed to fit over the edge of a pocket. It retains its shape once it is bent. After a few times of use it would "contour" to a person’s body and the tape ruler case. It would fit better each and every time it is used. One end is longer, has Velcro® brand hook tape attached just a little below the bend to allow it to grip the Velcro® brand loop tape ironed to the inside of the pocket*. When a tape ruler is clipped onto the pocket the clip of the tape ruler is putting pressure against the Velcro Hook & Loop material on the vinyl and the inside of the pocket. When the tape ruler is removed, or pulled off of the pocket, the gripping action of the Hook & Loop causes the vinyl "FRAY-NOT" to remain "stuck" inside the pocket!!! (Will work on a frayed pocket, just cut loose material off before using). Prolongs the life of a pocket.
